Nikolaos Staikoglou

MSc student

Nikolaos (Nikos) is a Medical Doctor with training in Radiology. His research in VHIO is focused on identifying CT radiomics signatures in patients with Hepatocellular Carcinoma, treated with immunotherapy agents.

Nikos (he/him) obtained his medical degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, GR (2017) and continued his four–year training in Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology at AHEPA University Hospital of Thessaloniki (2018-2021). He is now an MSc student in Biomedical Imaging at Maastricht University, NL (2021 – now), with a special interest in radiomics and advanced neuroimaging. He joined the VHIO radiomics team for his research internship on developing new radiomics signatures for patients with advanced Hepatocellular Carcinoma treated with immunotherapy agents. He also studied contemporary photography/visual arts (Stereosis School of Photography, 2018-2021). His work, which mainly explores the interaction between space reality and human, has been featured in international exhibitions and editions.
